Making My Place tells the story of how an Australian picture book classic became a television series, soon to screen across the nation.

My Place, the original picture book by Nadia Wheatley and Donna Rawlins, was first published in 1987 and won the CBCA Book of the Year Award.

The book takes the reader back into the past, as it depicts the history of one particular piece of land in Sydney from 1788 to 1988 through the stories of the various children who have lived there.
