VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS

Since 2021, Nadia has been giving an annual ZOOM WEBINAR about her book MY PLACE and ITS television series adaptation. Hosted by the Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF) and facilitated by the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (ACMI), these webinars are offered FREE to students.

You can access the Webinars for 2023 and 2022 on my Media page.

The 2023 webinar attracted 347 total registrations, representing 22,140 students and 953 teachers drawn from 258 Australian schools. The majority of registered schools were from Victoria (27%), Western Australia (27%) and New South Wales (24%), with schools from the remaining states and territories accounting for the remaining 22%. Schools in metropolitan areas represented 59% of registrations, while 41% were located in regional or remote areas. All education sectors were represented in the audience, with students from government, Catholic, independent and home schools attending.

The 2022 webinar received 297 registrations, representing 15,569 students, 871 teachers and 256 schools.

In 2021, over 150 schools joined in to this event organised in tandem with the Victorian branch of the Australian Literacy Educators Association (ALEA). As this was a time of Covid Lockdown, I was honoured to be able to connect with children and families in their homes.
