When I originally wrote the text of the picture book Flight, I had no idea how timely its story about the journey of a family of refugees would prove to be. In Conversation with Natasha Mitchell from ABC Radio’s ‘Life Matters’, I recently discussed the background for this contemporary fable at the Faculty of Education and Social Work, University of Sydney.
